When OJ Simpson in his white Bronco led police on the slow speed chase through the streets of LA.  I was at home watching a baseball game when the news broke.

Doing whatever a second-grader does.

I do remember us quietly watching the trial once in the school library and debating his guilt amongst each at lunch.

Doing whatever a student does.

Plus, that was no big news halfway around the world (OJ who?), so it only got a minute or so towards the back end of the evening news.

Watching news on the TV for once I guess. I was a Sophomore in High School, and Rush Limbaugh told me all I needed to know about current events most of the time... but for at least a little while that night I watched whoever was covering it.

Btw, happy Friday the 13th  Cool

I was in school. I don't remember that as clearly as the "Not Guilty" verdict which we were allowed to watch in school.  I remember most of the people in the school were convinced that it was the blackest day in American jurisprudence. Of course, with the benefit of hindsight, it can be equated with just about any court finding in the state of Florida.

Regretting my forced transfer from the Test and Performance Group at Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station to the Special Services Engineering Department in order to implement a new NRC regulation.  In the end, it was one of the best moves that I made in my career, and there was no question in either department as to OJ's guilt.

Would I still exist if I wasn't born yet?

Are we born already and assume bodily form (do our souls pre-exist some determined timeframe), or does God create our souls before we assume bodily form?

Anyway, I probably was just conceived at around 20 years and 1 day.

I was at a Biotechnology high school flunking badly because I spent more time in theater, cultural centers and all places humanities people go instead of science people. It would take an year and half for me to "get" what was going on.

Cultivating my platonic crush on the short, curly-haired brunette tap-dancer/ballerina girl from my classroom;

Hanging out with the other nerds;

Playing Vampire: The Masquerade with a Malkavian, in high expectations for Changeling:The Dreaming, and power-playing psionics on AD&D 2nd Ed.

Practicing Hung-gar I suppose;

Playing video-games in the Commodore Amiga 500 and in my old MSX, while at the same time despising all things PC;

Watching anime on VHS tapes that were copies from the copies a friend made from the copy of an original Japanese one. That was a black market and no cool nerd would watch just the one or two that were on open TV back then;

Studying Kardecist Spiritism;

Practicing hypnosis with friends for fun (don't do it);

Having my first job not with family and not in school, where not only the gay boss would try to hit on every newcomer, but the girl I liked there (not the same crush from school) thought it would be a good idea to use my name to make her Jiu-jitsu fighter boyfriend jealous. Eventually a new guy arrived, the girl I liked left and I think the following year I had already changed jobs.

The first year I sported long-hair, I think.

And basically not at all aware that I was already a young adult.

I believe I was watching  Ewing and the Knicks in the process of blowing another playoff series to Jordan and Co. from the Windy City.

And all of the sudden the game was interrupted by OJ in a moving vehicle, but it damn sure wasn't no Hertz commercial.

I was out at the mall with a friend and we wound up at his house to watch the conclusion, with his parents doing commentary.

I'm actually surprised that I remember -- it doesn't seem like it should be that much of a standout.
