I have been informed that this board is in violation of COPPA - The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.

We require parental permission for anyone under the age of 13 who signs up here.  While we may have no 13 year olds and under, I have been notified that I was required to state this.  In addition, the member agreement that you agree to upon registration has been updated to include this.

Just another well-meaning law that has little effect other than to criminalize an activity while probably doing little to really prevent the crime.
