Prayer Request
« on: June 07, 2014, 05:44:45 PM »
Please pray for my Dad, as he had a stroke this morning.  I am encouraged in that he was hard to understand at 7:30 a.m. this morning, but he was speaking in intelligible sentences went he was taken to MRI about 9:30 a.m.   I am home checking my e-mail and cleaning up a little, but then will be back at the hospital to see how he is doing.  Mom could use some prayer to keep her morale up.

Lord have mercy
Quote from: Nun M.
The dread Pantocrator...is also "Christouli mou", (my little Christ), who really listens when you run in to your neighborhood church on the way to work to cry and light a candle because your daughter is in trouble at school. The untouchable and all-holy Mother of God is also "Panayitsa mou", who really will take your part before the court of heaven because, just like your own mom, she’ll always stick up for her children, no matter how badly they’ve behaved.

Lord have mercy.  St. Panteleimon be with him.
I'm with the camp of 13 million Americans that believe politicians are, or are controlled by, Reptilians. I think only monks can solve this problem. It doesn't seem right that they prefer to ignore it.

May the Lord grant your father a speedy and complete recovery, strengthen your mother and grant everyone a healthy and long life.

Lord have mercy.
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Thank you.  Dad is still speaking well tonight, although he is still in the hospital.   They want to keep an eye on him for a while, because at this stage there still can be reverses.  He will have at least one test tomorrow, and then I will hear what the doctor wants to do at that point.  Good night, and the LORD bless you all.

Lord, have mercy on Gamliel's father and his family.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

I believe St. Pantaleimon is considered helpful in medical situations.

I believe St. Pantaleimon is considered helpful in medical situations.

+1 He's the best.  And St. Luke the Physician.

May their prayers be with your father.

Lord, have mercy.
"For, by its immensity, the divine substance surpasses every form that our intellect reaches. Thus we are unable to apprehend it by knowing what it is. Yet we are able to have some knowledge of it by knowing what it is not." - St. Thomas Aquinas, Summa contra gentiles, I, 14.
