H.H Baselious Marthoma Didymus I; the Catholicose Emeritus of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church has entered eternal rest. His funeral will be held tomorrow at 10:30 AM Indian Standard Time at Mount Tabor Dayara (Monastary), Pathanapuram, Kerala State, India.  He was 94 years old.  He was the Mertopolitan of the Malabar diocese for a long time. He was enthroned as Catholicose in 2004. In 2010 he relinquished his position due to old age and health issues. He was succeeded by H.H Baselious Marthoma Paulose II.
