She didn't mean to... he snuck up behind her so stealthily. The mysterious stranger's armed encircled her waspish waist and she reacted with the martial arts that her husband, Mr. Daniel Craig, taught her for situations such as these. As she gazed down at the chiseled brown face of her attacker, she felt a tinge of regret. The noble brow spoke of kindness and wisdom. She wondered what things he could have taught her. Oh why did she react so suddenly to a friendly hug!

Just then, her former costar Hugh Jackman approached. "I won't ask questions... let us go to the Home Depot for some large trash bags, a shovel, and some lye."

Now just let her spin yard, like in your avatar, Kelly. She sort of looks like the woman in it here. Besides, he needs a new sweater to keep him warm. Of course, for him, there are other ways to keep warm.

The grieving process is different for everyone.  She wore black for nearly a month, including hat and veil; she even had a black armband.  She had been sleeping on the cold, mirrored floor as it was too painful to enter that cold bed by herself.  Today was different.  A bird's song woke her early this morn.  I will not put on that veil.  I'm moving on, she thought.

Suddenly, she heard keys jingling outside the door as if somebody was fumbling for the correct one.  She raised her upper body all the while wondering who on earth it could be.  Maybe...no, I left.  Don't be silly.  He wouldn't want me back.

The tumblers jolted as someone put a key in the lock.

So what exactly prompted this thread? I mean sure she's hot, but Mor must have a particular fancy for this girl. Or was it just random?

I haven't had either in quite a long time.

"911.  Do you need police, fire, or ambulance?" a woman stated harshly on the phone.

"Um, I...I think I need the police.  I think someone's trying to get into my apartment."

"Ma'am, what makes you think that?" said the operator with a hint of holiday time exasperation.

"Well..." Rachel paused.  How can I explain this without sounding crazy?  "I'm not sure if the man I love is alive or not.  I, I mean, I saw him dead.  He's the only one I ever gave a key to for my Hoboken apartment.  And now someone is using a key to get into my place.  Wait."  She heard a thump on the other side of the door and a whispered oath.

"Ma'am?"

The doorknob turned.

"He's coming in!" she whispered frantically.

"Ma'am, calm down.  We're sending the police right away."

The door creaked open, almost cautiously.

For some reason Rachel closed her eyes as if to block out whatever or whoever came through the door.

"Ma'am?  Are you okay?  Can you hear me?"  the 911 operator asked.

"Hello?" said a familiar voice.  "You forgot to put your fire extiguisher in front of your door for inspection."  It was Guiseppe, the old building sup.

"I'm so sorry.  It's just the building supervisor.  I'm okay," she reassured the operator and herself.

"Hello?  Miss Weisz?  You okay?  You in there?" shouted Guiseppe as he inched forward through the foyer.

"Yeah, I'm okay.  Everything's fine.  The fire extinguisher is in the kitchen."  Rachel peeked around the corner of the hallway, seeing Old Man Gus, as some of the other tenants call him, shuffling to the kitchen and grabbing the red cylinder.

"I'm gonna have to swap this one out."

"Thanks, Gus," she barely whispered.  Why do I feel like crying?  "Thank you."

The loneliness was crushingly unbearable.

She had fallen asleep.  She didn't remember closing her eyes or even feeling sleepy.  The apartment was nearly pitch black; a flickering light made its way through the window blinds.

God, what time is it?

The microwave in the kitchen claimed it was 3:00.  A.M.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Geez, Gus is just now getting back with the fire extiguisher?  He's getting too old for this job.  He forgets.  She paused.  I forget.  I want to forget.  She turned on the kitchen light.

"Coming," she said to the door, walking barefoot on the frigid floor.  She opened the door and nearly died.

"Merry Christmas," he said, his face and smile reflecting the dim lighting of the hallway.

"Mor!" she loudly whispered and quickly embraced him.  "I-I thought you were dead!"  Tears began to flow from her eyes, draining away any sadness she had.

Clearly, this thread needs more pictures.

She's wearing a cross, Mor. There is hope you can bring her to the light of Orthodoxy. I suggest getting a jeweler to make her some earrings that are a Russian cross, with nice diamonds placed in it. Maybe her birthstone in the center.

I know, but I have to express my love someone. A sonnet then

Although you mock me with your clever wit,
I love you, Mor, and want you more than cake.
Cake is sweet, but you are sweeter, so sit
upon my lap. For Santa is a fake,
and St. Nick would slap you, you heretic.
But though you confess a false faith for Weisz,
and prefer o'er me some Hollywood chick,
I love you, Mor, although you are not wise.
Sin no more, my love, in adultery,
and renounce your false confession, my heart.
Blind heretic! you are blind and do not see
causes me many tears and sighs and smart.

If you shall not renounce that confession,
you'll be an unrequited obsession.
The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.

Diamonds are just beautiful lumps of coal. A fitting gift for a naughty girl. ;D

Oh Mor! More please! Just add an E to your name! Come and give me Mor!

This is not the "wainscottbl has the hots for Mor" thread.

I only hate you as a friend.  Let's keep it that way.

Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Then you love me as a lover.

You need not be my friend, but love me, love.
Friendship is too weak for the love a bear,
and I swear by God and Venus above
that we, my love, make a lovely pair.
I hate you then as a friend and you me;
then kiss not my cheek, but rather my lips.
If you can not love me thus, hear my plea:
If my love were the sea, a thousand ships
could sail a thousand years and see no land;
If my love had time, then it would exist
until the day of wrath, when all men stand
before the judgment where the Judge does list

our sins. But my love, though Sodom's, is just,
and the love of other lovers is rust.

And you were so bothered by the Borgia incest scene?  Seems like that's right up your alley.
