For my friend who's considering conversion
« on: May 18, 2014, 07:50:52 PM »
A friend of mine went to the Holy Virgin Cathedral in San Francisco today and must've had a heck of a religious experience because she just texted me and said she's going to look into Orthodoxy now. Apparently she had such an overwhelming feeling of "being home" in the cathedral that she wept! She's very, very Catholic so I'm surprised but really happy for her. Please pray that she will find the truth in Orthodoxy and be converted!
"But we must live in the world, having peace in our soul. We must live amidst strangers; we must suffer, struggle, and firmly believe. We must seek our consolation in prayer and not doubt the love and compassion of God. He is above everyone and everything."

This user posts here but probably shouldn't.

Is that so?

Lord have mercy.
Not everything I type or have typed in the past is reflective of the teaching of the Orthodox Church, or may not reflect my contemporary views on a subject. (5/30/2015)

I am scaling back posting because the crack in my computer screen makes it harder and harder to type.

Lord have mercy!
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Lord, have mercy on your child.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

Lord, have mercy.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.
