I am under the impression that this is the best translation of the Akathist hymn to the Theotokos, could someone share with me where the music for this text is located?

Specifically the music which is the oldest melody, preferably from the constantinopolitan tradition, but any melody older than 500 years is acceptable.

I'm going to see if I can match and edit the melody and words to this latin text, which is not identical because it is from a slightly different 9th century text originating in southern italy.

"and for all who are Orthodox, and who hold the Catholic and Apostolic Faith, remember, O Lord, thy servants" - yet the post-conciliar RC hierarchy is tolerant of everyone and everything... except Catholic Tradition, for modernists are as salt with no taste, to be “thrown out and trampled under foot

This isn't what you're looking for at the moment, but maybe in future? There are music sheets for several services here (including the Small Supplicatory Canon to the Theotokos) - they say they're updating: maybe in some weeks/months they will have the Akathist as well?

Please correct me if I'm wrong - I'm still learning as I go along.

Correct, that website does not give me the music I am looking for, and I do not think it will in the future either.
Thanks for the idea...

Is there actually "original" music for this at all?
