St Paul and Physical Exercise
« on: March 21, 2014, 07:08:41 AM »
In 1 Timothy 4:8 , St. Paul writes:

For “physical exercise has some value, but godliness is valuable in every way. It holds promise for the present life and for the life to come.”

What kind of physical exercise is Paul referring to here - is it prostrations or something else?
Are there any Orthodox Traditions associated with physical exercise?

In a fallen state of captivity, I seek to exchange Pearls of Wisdom with the few repentant Philokalists who roam this domain.
