To be ready?
« on: March 17, 2014, 11:02:30 PM »
For those who are married or are about to get married I ask: how do/did you know? How did you know you wanted to get married and how did you know that you were marrying the right person. Many thanks :)

I asked God to help me find a good Christian spouse.

I would only date a person whom I had met at at Christian gathering.

He had to lead me closer to Christ and be open to pray with me.

And I hoped that he would be tall, blonde, and attractive.

Well, within 6 months, I found my future husband.
He had not been baptized but wanted to become a Christian.
So, he was accepted as a catechumen and was baptized about one month before our wedding.

I didn't see myself being with or having any future with any other woman.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

So....is he tall, blonde, and attractive?
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.
