I am almost finished reading The Ancestral Sin, by Father John Romanides and it is quite enlightening.
It certainly is a return to the thinking of the early Greek Fathers and gets one out of the Augustinian/RC thinking regarding "original sin." I have found it really challenging me to be truly Orthodox in my theological thinking regarding the Fall, why we sin, how sin is "transmitted" to each newly born human being, and coming to a deeper appreciation of why we will sing this Pascha, "Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life."

If anyone has read this book, or anything like it , please respond.

I read this book several months ago and I found it extraordinary. I wish I had read it sooner and I would highly recommend it to those who are looking into the Orthodox Faith.

Right now I am reading Genesis, Creation and Early Man by Fr Seraphim Rose. Both of these books would be an excellent read during Great Lent.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. - Philippians 4:8
