Pray for Lynette Hoppe
« on: March 28, 2005, 11:03:21 PM »
I came across this story on the OCMC site about Lynette Hoppe, a missionary who was in Albania with her family until December '04 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She's now back in the states and has received some of the best care available. Go to this link http://www.ocmc.org/missionaries.php?sub=missionary&id=2 , for the details. Other links are available on this page for the complete story. Read her newsletter for the latest news. She is in stage IV and needs our prayers.

She has my prayers, although I am unworthy of being heard in the Heavens...

Prayers for Lynette.

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.

Some years ago, when elder Sofronios was still alive, a woman, heavily worn down by cancer in it's latter stages, came to visit the elder, asking for advice. The elder told her to fasten a few days and commune, and that she needed not worry any more. I don't think I need to say whether she was cured or not after she communed!

Perhaps all these cases of illnesses, or misfortunes only need the Communation with the Lord Jesus, and nothing more... Just my idea...
