More Tests
« on: February 28, 2014, 03:58:12 AM »
I go into the hospital March 24 for a few days of long term EEG testing. They are going to try to take some of my medication down (Keppra) which is a very high dose--not dangerously so, just high. It's normal sometimes and doctor's discretion, but my new neurologist wants to try to take it down and eventually take me off the Keppra. He wants to try something else. He wants it done in the hospital for safety so that they can monitor me and aid me better in my illness. Thank God for great, caring doctors and university hospitals. Also pray for my neurologist I suppose. In talking about my new medicine, which can be used as an anti-depressant or anti-convulsant, he asked me if it effected my sleep much. I told him yes and he mentioned he understood because he had just started an anti-depressant. So since I feel I owe him because he is a truly Hippocratic doctor, pray for him whatever his personal issues may be.

Lord have mercy.

All-Holy Trinity, have mercy on us.

Most Holy, most glorious Lady Theotokos and ever-Virgin Mary pray to Christ for us and intercede for our souls!
I reject all that I wrote that isn't in accordance with the teachings of the Orthodox Church. Also, my posts reflect my opinions (present or former) and nothing else.

Lord have mercy.
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai

Lord, have mercy on your children.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
