Please remember my fiancee's grandfather, Stanley, in your prayers.  He's quite on in years, on a constant oxygen supply due to emphysema, and in a constant state of pain thanks to a number of other ailments.  He tried to commit suicide via gunshot today and, thankfully, missed shooting himself in the head.

This is, I believe, the third gun they've taken away from him. 

Please remember him and his family in your prayers.

Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...
