Retirement of Cyrillic from Moderation
« on: February 03, 2014, 12:49:02 PM »
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the retirement from moderation of Cyrillic, our Other Topics Mod.

On behalf of the Admins and Moderators, I thank you, Cyrillic, for your service to the forum, and for being a good and productive member of this community for a long time.
"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."" What a shame. He's not leaving the forum, though, is he?

Read this before the OP. That was scary.

Cyrillic was a great and fair moderator.  His skills will be missed.

I understand that he will NOT be leaving the Forum, however, personal responsibilities require him to spend less time online.

I wish you all the best in everything you do.

God bless!!!

Cyrillic was a great mod.  :'(

Many years!
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai

Unfortunate. Cyrillic did a fanstastic job as moderator.

I love you, Cyrillic.   :-*

The Gospel is quite clear: both saints and sinners love God. "Religious" people do not love him, and whenever they can, they crucify him.

More people complain about your retirement than about your job as a moderator.  I'd say that counts as success!

I didn't notice his moderating really, which is probably a sign that he did a good job.
