How Do I Make A PDF File Available Online?
« on: January 29, 2014, 12:53:16 AM »
I uploaded a PDF file through Google docs and posted it on Facebook. But apparently some people are not able to view it. Can anyone tell me the best way to make a PDF file available online?

Thanks!

You mean without google docs? I have used http://www.scribd.com/ before and it worked very well, even showed in google searches at the top right away I believe.

I've uploaded my file with Google Docs and Scribd, but apparently you need an account to view them. How can I make a file available for online viewing without somebody needing an account to read it?

My advice is, and I know you probally do not want to hear this, is to sign up for box ( http://www.box.com ), where you do not need an account to view. For example, here is a .pdf I have of the Prokeimena

Alternatively, you can sign up for a Wordpress blog. Even if you never blog (although it's a good way to save drafts for easy retrieval), you still get 3GB of storage for media files.

I think you have to purchase the software for that option. (For example, purchase Adobe Acrobat and access the upload option) ...
