I'm not a fan of flashy clothing or anything that makes you stand out.

This....

This won't.

I didn't say exactly this, obviously (maybe not obvious enough). I said something "like" this, but for men. Which would mean a shorter shirt and not as loose of pants. I can't think of a name for the style so this is all I could come up with. It seems linen clothing is the nearest thing I can come up with for a name.

This is a better example (without the hat)

I'd like buy a weekend bag. Preferably second hand but I'm open to other suggestions too. I read that duffel bag was modelled after a Belgian military bag. Any idea how it looked like?

Short business travels and visits to friends living outside of my city. I should probably buy some small travel case for business travels but I already like bags more.

Green-striped Ralph Lauren OCBD. Casual but hopefully not too casual for office. A bit of impulse purchase but it was on sale and I need shirts than can be worn also during heat.

Not sure if they are meant to be combined with those at all. Probably some not-structured jacket might do.

Mmm, I have one of those shirts. Those stripes aren't green, though.

For some reason this looks a bit busy:

Too many colors. Could be fine with green stripes if the vest was of the same fabric as the jacket and with woolly patternless tie.

I need to buy a textile-strapped watch. Assumingly a bit more comfortable during the heat. Any suggestions? DW seems to have some okay-ish alternatives but not sure if they offer automatics. I'm not going to get a quartz as I don't like changing batteries and toxic waste.

Have you tried a pocket watch? Solves the heat problem and looks quite stylish.

I love pocket watches but I tend to wear rather slim jeans which means that pockets are rather slim too.

You could just buy a Tissot T-Sport Seastar 1000 Automatic (Eta 2824-2) which can be found for around $600 and then buy a Nato strap that matches the color. Alternatively you could just buy an Alpha Coke GMT with matching Nato strap for $84 + $3 shipping to Finland (Shanghai-B, OK, but not 28,800 bph like the Eta). This will give you something to play with while thinking about what you really want.
If you cannot remember everything, instead of everything, I beg you, remember this without fail, that not to share our own wealth with the poor is theft from the poor and deprivation of their means of life; we do not possess our own wealth but theirs.  If we have this attitude, we will certainly offer our money; and by nourishing Christ in poverty here and laying up great profit hereafter, we will be able to attain the good things which are to come. - St. John Chrysostom

I met a Dutch at Stepatsminda day before yesterday. Not having seen too much Europeans for few days it was amusing to see one with hipsterish Borat-like moustache and speaking at least three languages. I love you Dutch. Always living up to expectations.

We're everywhere, it seems. Brilliant.

I've grown increasingly fond of wearing chinos these past few months. They look rather fine without making you too overdressed. Anyone else here who likes khakis/chinos?

Italian army surplus chinos pretty much saved my trip to Stepantsminda. Not too sweaty, comfortable, classy-looking, endurable and always neat despite climbing up to the mountain. Should buy few more pairs of those.

There was some open-air vintage market at a marketplace near my apartment. Some were selling nose clip glasses. Must. Resist. Wouldn't make slightest sense but I still want them.

Bad clothing kills.

The picture of Mr. Warren with the waistcoat over the v-neck shirt was disturbing, though. Always wear button-downs with waistcoats. Besides, the waistcoat was too white. Cream is good, white is bad. I take umbrage at the lack of a jacket when wearing a waistcoat as well. Only striking dockworkers are allowed to wear a waistcoat without a jacket. Always wear a tie with a waistcoat; a tie is less necessary without a waistcoat. Never wear a belt under a waistcoat either. Mr. Warren did almost everything wrong that he could have done wrong.

Mr. Peele, on the other hand, is a very smart dresser. Knitted tie, blue suit, odd vest, nice shoes and a bit of rebelliousness by refusing to wear socks. His pocket square is a bit boring. I dig his style.

The article is scary but from the pictures I've seen I admire Black dandies. They can wear lots of colourful etc. clothes which would look extremely silly on, say, White or Indian people.

+1

I have e neighbor that dresses (and looks) like this guy except much taller and thinner.

Every crease is perfect... Every hair in place.. Thin ties and sometimes a hat, perfectly placed.

I dunno... He scares me.

The belt is alright, but I can't approve of tucking sweaters into trousers. Brown leather shoes would be better than blue suede shoes with this colour combination.

I wore pretty much the same as the guy in the pic yesterday, but with a brown corduroy jacket. The sweater and the trousers were of exactly the same beige colour, though.

Fantastic.  And like Orthodox vestments, there are a range of colors for the feasting and fasting seasons.

Then get some fast-free fighting bull meat and wine.

What a treat to ride a horse, play a bugle, and exercise your many hounds all the while dressed impeccably.  Goal: fox pelt (and looking good).

Whiskey and a roaring fire waiting back at the manor.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

Mor, love the statement you're making with the cut-off pant leg.  Tris, that skirt looks great on your figure.
