I don't know if this topic is as worthwhile as the Halloween one, but I think it is at least worth a thread.

What Christmas movies or TV shows are you watching?

I find 'holiday special' episodes annoying as all get out, and skip them. The one exception is Doctor Who, and this year I'm particularly looking forward to it.

My all-time favourite Christmas story is A Christmas Carol; I reread it every year, and watch any and all versions available. I own the Muppet version, as well as the Finney-Guinness musical version, so I no longer need to depend on TV programming. Wink

I have both Wonka movies, A Christmas Story, and some others on DVD, but I doubt I'll watch them this year. Maybe I'll rewatch the Christmas episodes of NewsRadio...

[or just listen to some while I surf the net...]

On that note- I hope Amazon, Hulu, or Netflix has Scrooged streaming before Christmas hits- not only my favorite adaptation of A Christmas Carol, but my second favorite Christmas movie (after Die Hard). I am also with you all the way on the Doctor Who Christmas Special.

Other than that, I'll probably run across a few more Christmas episodes as I do my trawl through the Psych catalogue, and probably cue up the Community Christmas episodes at some point. I'm not too big on any of the other Christmas movies/special episodes.

We've been watching "It's A Wonderful Life" for the last 15 years on Christmas Eve. Never get tired of it.

Nothing yet, but I am hoping to catch the Snoopy Christmas special, as I always do, and the service from St. Paul's in London. I watch that every year. It's just not Christmas without it. Beautiful singing.  angel

I just hope not to miss the Nine Lessons service at King's again. Recordings are never as good as the live broadcast. Wink

None yet, but we love It's a Wonderful Life, Charlie Brown Christmas, A Christmas Carol, and of course A Christmas Story; "You'll shoot your eye out, kid!"  Tongue

 Great topic BTW.

Diehard, Gremlins, and Elf.

Always the first every year. The second and third depending on time and what not.

The Flintstones Christmas Carol

A pink Chistmas (it's Pink Panther's special, long episode for Christmas, love its atmosphere and message)

Tom and Jerry The Night Before Christmas

And all Alf's episodes connected to Chrismas are nice

Probably there are more, but don't remember now

Home Alone.

Which is playing on AMC tonight at the same time that The Walking Dead would normally be on. I'm not sure what that means, but I think it means something...
