The great Mor Ephrem has decided to climb back in the saddle and become the General Forums moderator.  Even though he'll only be listed on "Christian News," he'll be responsible for all 5 (well, 7 including the sub-fora) of the General Forums.

Morey Refutation Project needs more moderating.

It is a tough job, but I think Mortheist is up to the task!

Exactly.  Even as we speak, one of his avatars is reading this message, another is replying to a pm I sent him, a third is heading to vespers, a fourth is eating a Hungry Man dinner (fried chicken, with the brownie - on a Friday!) and a fifth is rescuing Carmen from the unwanted attentions of Howard Stern and Baba Booey.

Worthy!

Linguistically, dude is being increasing used by and for females and males, but Axia is reserved for females.

You are so correct, Mor's a dude. If only his masculine voice could be heard over the Internet.

As a HUGE favor to Mor I found the original thread that kicked off the "Morey Refutation Project" and have inserted it into two long-dead threads that questioned the purpose of that subforum.

"I'm dying Ephrem". That's how "Mor Ephrem" translates into Romanian. Smiley

IoanC,

We have a hymn, sung at Compline on Tuesday night (Wednesday), the words of which are put into the mouth of St Ephrem.  It begins "I, Ephrem, am dying, and I write my testament..."  I can't pray on Tuesdays without wanting to read it "I'm dying Ephrem" and thinking of Romanians.  Tongue

Lol

I Ephrem am dying and writing my testament, to be a witness for the pupils who come after me: Be constantly praying, day and night; as a ploughman who ploughs again and again, whose work is admirable. Do not be like the lazy ones in whose fields thorns grow. Be constantly praying, for he who adores prayer will find help in both worlds.

Which means that now, when you get warned or moderated, you're going to have to pull out a dictionary to understand the reason cited.

lol.  Congratulations, Mor or less.

Some of my questions might appear patently stupid to those well-versed in Orthodoxy, but I'm brand new, having no background in the faith.  Please grant me a great deal of patience and consideration as I learn the basics.

"Pasi" is a male name in here. It's nice to know that you all pray peace for my friends.
