Through the intercessions of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk, LORD have mercy!

May The Lord ease their pain and grant them peace.
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.
—St. Isaac of Syria

From another whose mind and heart are also wounded--I know just how much this hurts--Lord, have mercy!

It's like being trapped in a cave so dark that you cannot see an exit, and you must feel around the walls in hopes of finding a break in the stone.  You go around and around and around, not even being able to see your own hands in front of your face, and you never find that exit.  You feel like time speeds up and then slows to a crawl, you can't trust the clock or the calendar anymore, and it's as though you're walking around in someone else's body.  It's a waking nightmare.

Lord, have mercy!
Some of my questions might appear patently stupid to those well-versed in Orthodoxy, but I'm brand new, having no background in the faith.  Please grant me a great deal of patience and consideration as I learn the basics.

Lord have mercy.

Pray the Small Canon to the Theotokos for help (see excerpt below)

Most Holy Theotokos, save us.

Quote
Assaults of the passions cause me distress;
Waves of despondency overwhelming my very soul.
O Maiden, restore to me that peace,
That your Son and our God give, O blameless one.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

You gave birth to the Savior and to our God,
I implore O Virgin One, to deliver me from distress.
In turning for refuge now to you,
Both my spirit and thoughts I lift up to you.

Ref. Hymns of the Paracleisis, Text by Fathers L. Contos and S.T. Kezios, Music by Father M. Pallad, p. 37-38.
Glory to Jesus Christ!
Glory to Him forever!

Lord, have mercy.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

So to pray for someone with this Canon, replace 'me' with the name of the mentioned person ?? Otherwise you pray it for yourself...

Lord have mercy.

St. Pantaleimon, pray for us.
He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will have no end.
