Hey y'all,

Any one have any comments to make about Bl. Theophylacts commentaries on the N. Testament?  Should I invest in the seriies?  Do you find them helpful?

They are very helpful. I would definitely recommend them. They sure as heck beat the OSB. If you're not sure you want all of them, you can just get one volume and see what you think of it.

But it had not been in Tess's power - nor is it in anybody's power - to feel the whole truth of golden opinions while it is possible to profit by them. She - and how many more - might have ironically said to God with Saint Augustine, "Thou hast counselled a better course than thou hast permitted."
