Welcome. :)
I will not be posting or participating here anymore.
They claim this is an Orthodox Christian forum.
Well, it is not!

My name is Bill.  I reside in the great State of Oklahoma!  I am a Veteran and currently work in Finance.  Married with Kids.  I am not quite Orthodox, but am overwhelmed with what I did not know.  Thankfully grew up in a Christian home with godly parents.  Father was a Baptist preacher.  Feeling led to explore more about Orthodox Christianity.  It's strange, I can't get keep from exploring more.  It started out as a little research on the ancient church and has continued from there.  Pray for me and my family.

Hello Bill,
Welcome to OC Net.
Yeah, Orthodoxy is strange simply because we grew up thinking ALL TOGETHER different.  And I can tell you it is truly wonderful, but different. Stick around and enjoy the give and take.
Small prayers will be said tonight for you and your family.

Hello - My name is Terry; my wife and I recently moved to Delaware after a lifetime in Massachusetts. During my "lifetime" I have been a practicing Catholic, an angry agnostic, a semi-Anglican, and a returned Catholic (very disheartening). The past five years I have been standing at the edge of the Bosphorus getting my toes wet. Here in Delaware, I have found a welcoming Orthodox church (there aren't many Orthodox in this area, yet) and am finally going to swim the Bosphorus. Christ is among us!

I'm more or less a newbie here -- a few posts here and there during the past few weeks. Some may know me as the Bad Cop and Scourge of Monomakhos, off and on for a few years. A labor of love.

I'll be a good boy here though, probably, since my exposure to this group so far leaves the impression that it's nowhere close to mostly irrational and deplorable, generally speaking. Is that correct?

Anyway, I hope and even think it is correct. So hi all.

Hello my name is Landon from Texas. I am currently a seeking convert, having converted from Protestant to Catholic (only converted so far in more traditional beliefs, not in sacrament because I have many disagreements with the modern Catholic Church), and am now seeking possibly to convert and know more about Orthodoxy.

God bless!

Welcome, Landon.

Diocese of Dallas?  If you have a chance, visit St. Seraphim's Cathedral which just happens to be the OCA Diocese of the South's seat.  Good folks there.

Or, if you live elsewhere, the Orthodox Assembly of Bishops has a great parish finder.

I am a (soon-to-be) 22 year old from Israel. Orthodox in belief, and hopefully a soon-to-be full member of the Church. I've been lurking these forum for a while, and have learned a lot from them.

Peace,

Hi everyone!

I've actually been posting for a few days, but I've been blind to this thread, and thought it only appropriate to be polite and post here.

I'm a 21 year old college graduate, from the US who will soon be going to school in Germany.
I'm an inquirer (and somewhat long time lurker)

Greetings to all.
I've been an orthodox christian for some time now. Residing in Brasília - Brazil. 26, lawyer.
I often go to a greek parish here.
I'm joining this forum in hopes of learning more about our faith and developing myself spiritually. One of the downsides of living in my country is that this is no orthodox country and orthodoxy is fairly new here. So we don't have a lot of resources.
I hope to learn from you guys.

Cheers.
