Which one do you recommend?

Which one does your Orthodox church recommend?

Which ones do the Orthodox Church Of America recommend (or sell)?

What about other American dioceses?

I am buying one for my fiancé, that is why I am asking.

There are many options, perhaps too many. The first question would be, does she prefer contemporary or traditional (Elizabethan) English? Second question, does she care about Greek vs. Slavic traditions?

I use this one:  http://www.uocofusa.org/prayer_books.html

One side is in English and the other is in Ukrainian.

We have a number of posters on this Forum who have availed of said book and seemed to like it a lot.

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

She prefers contemporary English.

(English and nothing else at any rate, please.)
