Oraciones ortodoxas
« on: October 19, 2013, 07:27:54 PM »

Amen.

Gloria a ti, Dios nuestro, Gloria a ti.

Amen.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

El Himno a la Madre de Dios

Digno es en verdad bendecirte, oh Theotocos,
siempre bienaventurada y exenta de pecado, Madre
de nuestro Dios. Mas honorable que los Querubines y
mas gloriosa incomparablemente que los Serafines,
tu que sin corrupción has engendrado a Dios verbo,
¡verdadera Theotocos, te engrandecemos!
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

Amen.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

are you hispanic hecma925?
She hears, upon that water without sound,
A voice that cries, “The tomb in Palestine
Is not the porch of spirits lingering.
It is the grave of Jesus, where he lay.”
We live in an old chaos of the sun,
Or old dependency of day and night,
Or island solitude, unsponsored, free,
Of that wide water, inescapable.

Puerto Rican...? Why 'hecma' then? That means 'wise' in Semitic languages. Was it just a fluke that you named yourself that?

That would be hakham in Hebrew, huchem in Yiddish and hakim in Arabic or Aramaic.

'Hakim' حكيم is not 'hecma'  حكمة those are more like titles. Like الانسان الحكيم 'the wise man'.

Hecma (حكمة) is just 'wise' in Arabic.

A rather unwise fluke. :)  No hecma is just hecma.  Just picked letters that could be pronounced when strung together.

¡Santísima Madre de Dios sálvanos!
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai

Akatisto a la Resurrecion de Jesucristo

Akatisto a nuestro dulcisimo Senor Jesucristo

salvación, por la promesa de bienes venideros;
mandamientos,
santifica nuestras almas, limpia nuestros cuerpos,
dirige nuestros pensamientos, limpia nuestra
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

Oración antes de leer la Santa Escrituras
Ilumina nuestros corazones. Maestro Amante
la comprensión de la predicación de tu Evangelio;
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Y concédeme a mí, tu siervo pecador,

http://cristoesortodoxo.com/category/akathistos/
a San Gabriel "Loco en Cristo" de Georgia
al Icono de la Madre de Dios “Zarza Ardiente”
al Bendito Seraphim (Rose) de Platina
a San Juan Bautista

For my anglophone friends:
Akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos honored in her icon of "The Unburnt Bush"
Akathist to St. John the Forerunner and Baptist

I couldn't find the Akathist to Blessed Seraphim in English that matched with the Spanish translation.  I couldn't find an English Akathist to St. Gabriel of Georgia, either.  If anyone has a link or PDF, please post here.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.
