Prayers
« on: October 16, 2013, 02:41:56 AM »
I'm leaving for NC tomorrow, finally starting life over after months of planning. Please pray that things go well for my children and I.
"A humble man who lives a spiritual life, when he reads the Holy Scriptures, will relate all things to himself and not to others.”

– St. Mark the Ascetic, Sermon, 1.6

O Lord, have mercy on your servants!
Quote from: The Life of Ivan Neronov
[Ecclesiastics] conspired against him because they hated his teaching for its zealous emphasis on proper Christian conduct: with great courage he denounced all whom he saw behaving in an ungodly fashion... [As such] he was deprived of his priestly rank, bound in iron chains, and broken down in jails.

Through the intercessions of St. Nicholas, the Wonderworker of Myra, LORD be with Rebecca Ann and her family.

Lord, have mercy and preserve this family.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Lord have mercy on Rebecca Ann and her wonderful children.

All Holy Trinity, have mercy on us.
"Your children shall become the head, but you... will become the tail of the Church; therefore your judges will be those who have always preserved the Catholic Faith... they will be the Orthodox and true Catholics since they have never accepted heretics... but have remained zealous for the True Faith." Lord, have mercy.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

We made it here, and are now officially having reverse culture shock. I grew up here but left at 18 and have always lived in very large cities ever after. We just went from Seattle to a rural Southern town of 7,000. So far it is really, really quiet...

Thank-you for your prayers!

You've greatly improved your surroundings to a place more conducive to raising a family.  Lord, have mercy.  You're in my prayers.
Some of my questions might appear patently stupid to those well-versed in Orthodoxy, but I'm brand new, having no background in the faith.  Please grant me a great deal of patience and consideration as I learn the basics.

Lord have mercy.
He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will have no end.
