Theophilus, let me ask this: When we speak of God, we speak of the Holy Trinity. When Jews speak of God, they speak of the same God, but without full understanding that the Messiah came and the existence of the Trinity. So when muslims speak of God, who do they speak of? (in reality, not who they think it is) Is it the Devil, or is it nothing or is it God(The true God: the Trinity), but just with a way off, wrong theology.
I think Muslims worship a false deity.
I used to think the same but I looked into Islam and since I 'know' their side, i must reserve Judgment incase i'm wrong. The more you know, the more responsibility you have. I cant bash them anymore. All I can say is they are extremely prone to Islamic political cults and they certainly have their share of diversity. Many.. Or most Muslims are fairly 'recent' converts in history from Idoltarers. This could have been Gods hand at work to keep The nords from accupying the middle east and ensure a seperation of peoples. Look at it that way.
I will say they are EXTREMELY monotheist and consider Chritians lost from truth and polytheism. At age 15 or something like that the teens go to circumsized to ensure that they want to be Muslim. I can attest that not all Muslims seem to follow this. They've also relaxed a lot of rules. The Quran is taken out of context just like we do. A lot of it documents war and battles. Its a much different book that aims on social reform.
They heavily, heavily stress monotheism. The Jews and Muslims both agree on this since like 600 AD the Rabbis acknowledged them as monotheistic.
They both dont see Christians this way which is our own fault and the views of very early schollars and possibly Jewish sages very, very early on trying to justify who Jesus was because of the after effects from his resorection.
Sothern Greeks and Jews have many, many similarities between them and this was recognized early on. The schollary, higher society Jews and Greeks really enjoyed one another from what I understand. And back then Kabbalah was very big. Same with concept of different dieties and parts of a single God... JUST SAYING...
