I can't believe no one has said it yet. It is perhaps the greatest sitcom of all time. I love the fact that unlike The Cosby Show and Leave it to Beaver for example, Roseanne does NOT glamorize the world and present a perfect, pseudo 1950s household with absolutely no problems or suffering. Roseane is good because it's gritty, it breaks the stereotypes, it's crude, and presents humanity for what it really is. The parents are fat and can't run their household, the whole family is dysfunctional, the sister Jackie is high all the time or something, they live in a depressing town with real problems, and aren't afraid to be politically incorrect or touch upon serious issues.
