I always like the old movies, such as Frankenstein with Boris Karloff.

Oh, let's not forget Arsenic and Old Lace.

I haven't watched any Halloween movies yet, but as far as TV:
- The Office, 2012 Halloween episode
- Treehouse of Horror (2013)
- Doomsday Machine (Star Trek episode), was struck by parallel with the "Death Star".

- Treehouse of Horror (2013)

I liked the Dr. Seuss segment, mainly because I actually found it a little disturbing. The third segment was also pretty good.

Sounds like a good Halloween TV list.

Speaking of horror films with really strange ideas, there's Uzumaki AKA Spiral

But do we want to watch it? Our fate is in your hands.

Sorry, missed this. The answer is yes, but check out the other stuff first.

This made me think of all the horror movies I wasted time watching and made me laugh:

A trailer for a sensible horror movie.

I spoke too soon. Last night I watched the next episode, "Catspaw" (Star Trek: Season 2, Episode 7).

Still haven't pick any halloweenish movies (and probably won't pick more than 1 or 2) but I'm now watching Season 2 of "Supernatural". I guess that will be my main halloween fare.

Recently discovered that there is a movie called Sharknado. I will be watching this on halloween, along with several "beverages."

P.S.

I might also watch Chupabras in the Alamo, and Troll 2. Again, with several "beverages."

Some friends and I are having a movie night. We're gonna watch Young Frankenstein, Hocus Pocus ( don't ask me about it, I have never seen it) and one of the girls insisted that we should watch Mean Girls, arguing that it was a valid Choice, since it had a Halloween scene in it.

Getting back to business tonight!

We just finished watching Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, and a right fun romp it was, too. Now we're wasting time with Christopher Lee in Matthew Hopkins, Witchfinder General. It's not Halloween without the Prince of Darkness himself! :D

Addams Family (1991).

Is anyone a fan (I mean of Addams Family in general, not specifically of that movie)? Seems to have an interesting history, going back to Charles Addams and the New Yorker in the 1930s.

I'll watch reruns of the original live action series wherever and whenever I can find them. The film was sublimely cast, but I prefer them in black-and-white.

If you are referring to the original movie, I loved it. Very creepy, but very well done. Sissy Spacek is probably my favorite female actor. Very underrated.

Anyone have any thoughts about Carrie? (Yesterday I saw it straight-through for the first time; though I had seen much of it on TV a few years back.)

If you are referring to the original movie, I loved it. Very creepy, but very well done. Sissy Spacek is probably my favorite female actor. Very underrated.

Piper Laurie does crazy very well, too. ;D I first saw it when I was 17. The final scene sent me straight to bed, to cover up to my head and leave the lights on. :P
