Yes it is. One can find these in Greek Churches occasionally.

They're very common in Cyprus. I've not seen them in churches anywhere else though, Greek or otherwise.

I have seen a couple of sets like this. One in particular is a large set that the standard aers are not big enough to cover either the chalice or diskos, and they do have the metal covers for them. They work just like the clothe ones.

I like how they look like then. It also seems to be kinda more "traditional".
