Needing Surgery
« on: September 22, 2013, 10:06:50 PM »
I've recently had knots swell up on my arm causing me severe pain, which the ER said are fatty tumors (lipoma). Most likely benign, but to get rid of the pain I need surgery. So I'll be contacting a surgeon in the next week to get a definitive diagnosis and discuss getting them removed.

Please pray for me, as I'm also juggling this stress with my first semester in grad school. Thank you very much.

Lord have mercy.
My only weakness is, well, never mind

And you'll sleep, but they'll find you

Come back my dream into my arms, into my arms

London is drowning, and I live by the river

Lord, have mercy.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

Lord, help Nelphi by easing the pain and the burden, and grant a complete and speedy recovery.
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Lord, have mercy.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

An update: it looks like I might not need the surgery after all. The pain's been going doing steadily even if the fatty tumors won't ever shrink. I met with the surgeon today, and I'll call his office back in a few days once I see how the pain is by then. If it's persistent I'll go through with it, otherwise I won't need surgery now (although maybe in the future if it causes more problems).

Thanks everyone!

Lord have mercy.

Please keep us updated.
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai
