Hello all! I saw this just yesterday on the Beliefnet.com website. Listed in the "women in orthodoxy" section that reports the Greek Synod of Bishops decided to allow women to be ordained deacons. Can this be true??? Please see link below

Crucifer.  Hello, I'm just curious but were you a former Episcopalian who was considering Orthodoxy about a year or so ago?  Im just curious because I once talked to somebody with the s/n like yours but I think it was spelled different.  Please let me know!  Thanks.

There was a long discussion about this a few months back on this board. I don't know the exact thread. If you do a search you should find it easily.  If memory serves, there was also quite a LOT of banter on this thread about the female diaconate.
