Son is walking now, but
« on: August 02, 2013, 11:42:11 PM »
My son has started walking on his own. He can walk about six or seven steps before he falls down.  My question is:  We don't have a lot of space in our condo so my son has only a small amount of space to do his walking.  He has a tendency to walk towards the TV (bright lights, shiny things, ooh!)  and the TV sits upon a stand which is wooden.  There are bumper covers on the corners, but if he hits his sixth step and then falls forward, he has a great tendency to hit his head or his mouth and damage his teeth.  Should I use couch cushions to cover the front of the stand so that there is less tendency for him to hurt himself?  What have you done?  Thanks.

I have two grown daughters and three grandsons (with a fourth on the way).  By all means, cover any and all sharp edges and corners that you can.  Toddlers invariably find a way to fall on them.  Congratulations by the way!

Pillows and cushions are your best friends!
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.
