Hello everyone. New here and decided to introduce myself so I can start discussing with you all. I am a Christian of Protestant upbringing (non-denom), who is attending an Orthodox Church and desiring to convert. I have a great priest in Father Rade, and I am enjoying Bible study on Tuesday nights.

I believe I have always been looking for the Orthodox Church, and of course it is the last place I looked! Looking forward to the journey.

Hi there! I am due to be chrismated in a couple months. It wasn't always easy, but there is a lot of joy at the end of it. Good luck. Smiley

Wow, very astute observation (abi is its true spelling I believe, pronounced a-vee)! I am a father of two, and take the job very seriously. This is one of the main reasons I am converting to the Orthodox Church. Flopping around spiritually, as I have done for years, does not serve my children in the way they deserve. I finally found my answer, and I have a duty to pass it to my family and lead my house.

I use a variation of AV on two other forums related to other interests for the same reason. I love being a dad!

I have been blessed with four little ones.  I thank God that I can raise them in the Orthodox Church.  May God help us both to be good examples to our children and lead them to become saints!
