Yesterday I was assisting an older lady with a project at my work.  During the course of our conversation, she told me she comes into town (an hour and a half drive) for chemo.  I noticed earlier that she was wearing a wig.  I felt compelled to tell her that my own mother also has breast cancer and shared some stories with her thinking it would maybe let her know she isn't alone.  After we parted, I said a little prayer for this kind lady and thought I'd never see her again.  I was wrong.  She came back in today and sought after me.  When she found me, her eyes lit up and she handed me an occasion card.  She said that when she was at her appointment yesterday, she was praying for my mom.  The card was her way of letting my mom know that she wasn't alone and that she would be praying for her.  Imagine- a complete stranger going through chemo and radiation goes out of her way to buy a card for a stranger to let her know that she was praying for her.  She also had a lot of nice things to say about me, but that wasn't what touched me.  I gave this woman, Cathy, a big hug and thanked her profusely, telling her that I would pray for her.  I don't know Cathy's denomination (or really much about her) except she did a wonderful thing for my mother and me.  This dear lady has inspired me to become a better person.

Holy Father, have mercy upon Thy handmaiden Cathy.  Comfort her and her family as she goes through this horrible disease.  Amen.

What a great story! Of course I will pray for Cathy.

Thanks for sharing this.  Lord have mercy on Cathy.

Lord have mercy!

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Lord, have mercy.

You are right. I apologize for having sacked Constantinople. I really need to stop doing that.
