The Church of the Holy Sepulchre divisions
« on: July 05, 2013, 01:26:26 PM »
I have knowledge about the various denominations like the Armenians,Ethiopians, Copts, Romans etc who lay claim to the church. As such certain plots of the church buildings have been allocated to the various groups. I'm curious to know how this situation came about. Wasn't there principally one group who are traditionally of the church ?

Also what are your opinions on the fights that happen between the groups there

To a large extent, the Ottomans and Crusaders are to blame.

The Roman (or Greek, as they're also called) Orthodox Patriarchate.

Shameful.
