We could use some prayer
« on: July 03, 2013, 01:38:37 AM »
As some of you know this coming Sunday my family and I are finally becoming catechumen. I'm perhaps a little bit excited  ;D ;D ;D by this, of course. The last couple weeks, however have been doing their best, albeit unsuccessfully to drain that excitement though. I understand it works this way frequently.

It started with all the rain we've been having finding its way through the roof in the laundry room and dropping some plaster on our heads, followed by the refrigerator deciding to stop cooling and the mechanic telling me that my car has a cracked head or at least a blown head gasket. All this at a time when I've been having to get money from my folks to help us meet the monthly bills until I get the year end raise from my new job.

(I had to take a temporary wage cut though the at the end of the year I will make more than if I had stayed put. At the same time I'm also dealing with the effect of having to pay a couple hundred dollars more per month for insurance due to the governor's changes, which I still support despite the fact that they effect me.)

I have started a second job but I'm trying to think outside the box for ways to really increase my income. It just seems things have been piling on lately :( I appreciate your prayers.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

Lord, have mercy.
You are right. I apologize for having sacked Constantinople. I really need to stop doing that.

May the Lord be merciful and ease your burdens.

Congratulations on coming one step closer to Home. :)

Thanks again for your prayers everyone, today went perfectly we are now catechumens.  We got there early our sponsors who had been out of town for a bit were able to be there as were all our friends. Plenty of pictures were taken I'll have to post one or two when we get the copies.

Glory to God.

Glory be to God! May the Lord who has called you, bless your journey with His Peace. Amen!
To God be the Glory in all things! Amen!

Only pray for me, that God would give me both inward and outward strength, that I may not only speak, but truly will; and that I may not merely be called a Christian, but really be found to be one. St.Ignatius of Antioch.Epistle to the Romans.
