Lord have mercy.

May their memories be eternal.
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai
Writings from the Philokalia: On Prayer of the Heart,
Translated from the Russian by E. Kadloubovksy and G.E.H. Palmer, Faber and Faber, London, Boston, 1992 printing.

I learnt of today's tragedy with heavy heart. Our local Chief Fire Officer being interviewed at the scene of a waste recycling plant fire which at its' height had drawn in over 200 firefighters was asked about the difficulties his crews faced and replied that he had in mind today's losses in Arizona.

I pray for those so tragically lost and their loved ones at this awful time. May they rest in peace.

Such brave men. In a poignant coincidence on this day in American history, Lincoln called sacrifice like theirs, the "last full measure of devotion." Indeed. Eternal be their memories. May our Lord and Saviour embrace their loved ones and comfort them in their time is sorrow.

No greater love has no one but this:  To lay his life down for his friends.

May their memories be eternal.

Memory Eternal.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
