http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=2_ULfPIcx64

A versus populum Tridentine-ICEL mishmash of a mass celebrated by a seer of unknown clerical status in a beige polo shirt and purple stole.

I love how he begins the Collect with "Let us pray" followed by a good twenty seconds or so of silence, very prayerful.  And the prayer he improvises...LOL!  Check it out starting at around 2:45.

What a dork.

I couldn't watch it all and just skipped through it. I love how he points to God at the end when saying we "turn to your mercy." Pointing is the proper way to direct prayers after all.

I wouldn't have lasted as long as I did if I didn't get to that three minute mark!

The website was worth a browse, but the video was unwatchable.

This is why I love America. All you need is a YouTube channel to be pope. Of course Americans don't have a corner on this market, but you do have to admit that we have certain proclivities for it.

I was watching the woman read the apparent words of the Virgin Mary, and I think she may actually be Canadian. I caught some Canadian-sounding pronunciations, like saying "aboot" instead of "abowt."

Although, the pope himself seems to be American.

Funny, I thought the pope was Canadian.  Oh well.

I love when he "venerates" the "relics" in the "altar"...he looks ridiculous.  And that shirt.  When I was a kid and played "Church", I had the good sense to use towels and sheets as vestments.  This guy doesn't even try.

You'll get an occasional "aboot" from a Michigander or a Minnesotan.

I usually consider Canadians in the "American" category, just socialist but polite. Like liberal Southerners who like hockey.

(Like good Americans, I don't consider "American" to encompass everyone in the American hemisphere, despite the the protestations of Mexicans and -- more generally -- South Americans everywhere.)

What is wrong with you people? He clearly pointed out that there have been signs, specific signs, and yet you dismiss him? You still doubt him? He is now going to pray for bigger signs, which given the context seems to imply worse natural disasters, to wake you people up. Is that what you want?

No, it's late, I want to sleep.  And I want him to get some proper vestments.  A pocket stole and a polo shirt do not a pope make.  Even Papa Francesco laughs him to scorn.

If you want to be a fake pope, you need to do it Palmar de Troya style:

Pretty sure that's a stole.  I used to work for "the man" (i.e., a Catholic supply store) way back in the day, so I know of what I speak.  Oh, the kitsch I've beheld...

You want him to focus on gaudy clothes and expensive peripherals, yet you ignore the truth that he preaches, which is greater than gold and silver and gems. And what's this? How can you use a hedonistic want of sleep as an excuse? Do you not know how real Christians sleep? They leave the door and windows open in very cold weather, then put some wood in the fire and go to sleep. After three, or at most three and a half hours the fire dies down and you begin to freeze. This is your alarm to wake up for the day.

When I crossed the border along the interstate from NY to PA yesterday, I couldn't help but notice bigger signs in Pennsylvania. They were like roadside scoreboards, changing messages and images every minute or so.....

Unless the man has some physical issues that aren't apparent in the video, why is he sitting while serving his mass?

Pope Peter the Last has to sit while serving mass because it is a sign that the world is collapsing.  Symbolism, people, symbolism.  Only antipopes stand during mass.
