Is this a real Orthodox Church? They ordain female priests. What's the deal?

Before we answer that, what do you think?

One cannot start his own fringe group of the Old Catholic church and claim it to be "Orthodox".

I think you answered your own question.

If a group seems suspect then they probably are not legit.  One of the first questions you should be asking (them/yourself) is Who is your Bishop?  You should know which Bishop's are legit and who are not.  If they are not legitimately in Communion with the churches listed here:
http://www.oca.org/pages/orth_chri/Orthodox-Churches/index.htm
then they are not Orthodox.  There are a few instances of "irregularity" (e.g. ROCOR), but they for example are in Communion with the Serbs and Jerusalem, so by extension everyone else.

The list Elisha gives is a good rule of thumb for figuring out who is Eastern Orthodox (although there are "irregular Churches" such as ROCOR, the Greek Old Calendarists, the Kyivan Patriarchate, and for historical note the Bulgarian Church until 1941 and the OCA/Metropolia pre-1971 which are/were obviously Orthodox although regarded by others as schismatic).

Your Church is Oriental Orthodox and a different communion so Elisha probably didn't have you guys in mind.

Yes, but she implied that if they are not on the list, they are not Orthodox.

Well, anyways, I am hoping to learn more about Russian Orthodoxy. Are there any books or sites that you would reccoment?

Right but he probably didn't mean to slight you. Anyway, if you want to learn about [Russian] Orthodoxy I would suggest you pick up some of the books at www.svspress.com or check on amazon.com
