Pretty self explanatory; not trying to be that guy, or in this case girl, who isn't dressed properly.

Feel free to toss any other first timer tips in as well.  Smiley

Just wear something modest, like a skirt that covers the knees and a top that covers the shoulders.  If you want to be extra proper, you might bring a mantilla or scarf.   Smiley

I know women do in our church.

In Armenia it is obligatory in the church. If a woman doesn't wear a scarf, she will not be allowed to take Communion, until she covers her head. In Diaspora, however, women may cover their heads or not.

rebecca.ann, if you can, bring a head scarf but its not a "neccesity" unless you're taking communion. Other than that, a modest dress and have a light sweater handy. This is only for inside the Church and especially if you're communing.

trousers (pants in american) are fine.
just don't wear those trousers that are actually very tight leggings with a pattern of pockets on them to make them look like trousers!

in other words, if your trousers are of very thin material and very tight, wear a loose shirt over it to avoid distracting the world with your lovely bottom.

if you wear very trendy ripped jeans and a loose knitted top with lots of holes in it you will probably be decent, but most copts dress a bit smarter than that. no need to wear a suit or anything though, anything in between is fine.

and salpy, i think he meant cover your cleavage, not bring your cleavage!

I'm not a large fan of the leggings trend, thankfully. Wink

Thanks everyone.

No, it isn't. Long john look stupid even if they are renamed as "leggins" and too many people buy the idea. Everyone who wear leggins should be excommunicated.
