Amalfion Benedictine Fellowship

Quote
We are a fellowship of Orthodox oblates who have come together to share study, prayer and worship in a Benedictine Way. At this time, we are not affiliated with any monastery but are a support for those seeking to live this way to the degree they are able in their everyday lives. We are trying to apply the Rule to our daily lives as we live in a monastery without walls. We also pray for the restoration of Amalfion , a western orthodox monastery on the Holy Mountain of Mt. Athos

Neither of the links worked for me, perhaps others will have better luck.

But it's interesting that this should come up.  I was thinking earlier of posting a question about whether Oblates existed in any Western Rite monasteries, and/or if Eastern monasteries ever developed something similar, if there are monasteries in America which have such programs, etc.

Mor no longer posts on OCNet.  He follows threads, posts his responses daily, occasionally starts threads, and responds to private messages when and as he wants.  But he really isn't around anymore.
