Standardized Tests
« on: May 31, 2013, 06:10:17 PM »
Tomorrow I will be taking the SAT and in a week from now I will be taking the ACT. This is my first time taking these tests so, worst case scenario, even if I do not receive the scores I want, I can retake them in the Fall. Please pray that I do not screw up too badly, despite my admitted laziness and procrastination when studying.

Lord have mercy on me and forgive me!

Lord, have mercy on Severian.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

I took it a few hours ago. I think I did all right. Thank you all for your prayers.

I received my scores back. And with the help of your prayers, I got a 1930 (around 90th percentile, I believe). Not bad considering it was my first try and I barely studied (though I would like to triumph over this laziness over the summer). I have yet to receive my ACT scores back.

Thank you Lord, glory be to you!

Specifically, my scores were:
Critical Reading: 590/800, 78th percentile (honestly, this is a bit disappointing as I consider English, both reading and writing, to be my strong point)

Math: 610/800, 78th percentile (satisfying, considering math is my weakest subject)

Writing: 730/800, 98th percentile (this made me ecstatic)
  Multiple Choice: 73/80
  Essay: 9/12

I received a 25 composite on my ACT (82nd percentile). I definitely want to raise it to a 30 or at least a 29 by September. Thank you all for your prayers.
