Moral of the story: Never post when you're under the influence. The same goes for many other activities.

Now that the save as a draft feature is gone, you can't even do that.

You email yourself and wait or save it in some other format and wait till the next day.

Sorry, stuff got out you regret.

This would be a most welcome feature.

Or why not remove the 20-minutes edit limit?

Lotsa reasons. I am sure you can imagine some of the reasons.

I wish I could edit later for reasons due to embarrassing typos which don't stick out till I see them posted a day later.

It's good for the pride I guess.

On many boards, deleting posts and threads by members and moderators can cause a database error.
Instead of deleting posts/threads, those unwanted posts can be moved into a moderator forum, so as to make them invisible to members.

Here is a thought: type your post in a PM to yourself, then in the morning after a good sleep, review it. You can always delete it or post it later after editing it to suit your tastes.

edited to add:

A technical question:
Does the act of deleting PMs also mess up the database?
Is there a preferred way to delete PMs, or do we even need to delete them here?
