Dad has Cancer
« on: May 24, 2013, 10:21:00 PM »
I have not been great at praying for others lately, I admit. But if you have it in your heart, please say a prayer for my father, Delbert. Just two years ago (yesterday) he lost his wife (my mom) to cancer, and was today diagnosed himself.

Lord, please have mercy.
"This is the cross - to become dead to the whole world, to suffer sorrows, temptations and other passions of Christ; in bearing this cross with complete patience, we imitate Christ's passion and thus glorify our God the Father as His sons in grace and co-heirs of Christ." --St. Symeon the New Theologian

Lord, have mercy on Delbert.

O´my Lord and Savior, my God and my Light. I´m not worthy to ask, to ask for Thy mercy, but my words cries out for the saving of my brother, his mother and father. Forgive me for letting the prayer for stavros_388 be from me, a sinner, but just let your gracious, holy and most loving will be done upon them. Don´t take my name into consideration, because my prayer is then in vain. Just remember the name of stavros_388, his beloved mother and father. Grant true life into their hearts, with Thy presence, and grant them divine tears when you close in with everlasting mercy. I beg you wholeheartedly, just utter one letter from his mothers name, and she will come to everlasting life. Just remember his father in the smallest fraction of a second, and he will be healed. Amen...

Thank you, everyone, for your prayers (whether you've posted them here or not). God bless!

Delbert's PETSCAN is tomorrow. I told him many people were praying for him, and he is grateful and encouraged.

Lord have mercy!

O God, guardian of our souls and bodies, Who of your Your Son and our Lord Jesus Christ taught us the power of healing and protection from sickness, sorrow, and pain, I humbly beg of you as a sinner to grant these graces upon Delbert who is ailed with cancer. You are the only source of healing and can cure all pains, the great Physician, and I pray you grant mercy upon Delbert for his healing, and comfort upon stavros_388 and his family and friends. May also the memory of stavros_388's mother be eternal and her intercessions as she travailed through life with similar infirmity be placed upon her husband Delbert and her son. All glory is sent to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

I wish you the best stavros_388. God bless you and your father!

Lord, have mercy on Your servant Delbert. Grant him healing and comfort in this time of distress, and grant strength and comfort to his entire family and all his friends. And make the memory of his wife to be eternal! For You are a gracious kind, and You love mankind, and to You do we ascribe glory, to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages, amen.
