How should I respond?

"The grace of God has appeared..."

Not knowing any more of the context than what appears in the subject title, I'm tempted to suggest the following:

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.

Or any other similar quote from that particular movie dialogue.  Wink

"...you could not bear, Master, in the compassion of your mercy to watch the human race being tyrannised by the devil, but you came and saved us. We acknowledge your grace, we proclaim your mercy, we do not conceal your benevolence..."

Start talking in an Eastern European accent of your choice and declare them anathema a la the following:

edit: btw, a church with an official name of "Ukrainian Orthodox Greek Catholic Church" probably has more of an identity crisis than everyone on this board combined.

Show them the priest's confession from the Coptic liturgy of St. Basil:
Amen. Amen. Amen. I believe, I believe,
I believe and confess to the last breath;
that this is the Life-giving Body that
Your Only-Begotten Son, our Lord, God
and Savior Jesus Christ took from our
lady, the lady of us all, the holy Mother
of God, Saint Mary.
He made It One with His divinity without
mingling, without confusion, and
without alteration.

He witnessed the good confession
before Pontius Pilate. He gave It up for
us upon the holy wood of the cross, of
His own will, for us all.
Truly, I believe that His divinity parted
not from His humanity for a single
moment nor a twinkling of an eye
; given
for us for salvation, remission of sins
and eternal life to those who partake of
I believe, I believe, I believe that this is
so in truth. Amen.

If they keep insisting on their blasphemous and wrong understanding, either walk away or punch them in the face, depending.*

Anastasia1, life is too short. If this person is not interested in a genuine conversation & just wants to condemn you, then wipe your feet and move on. There are a lot of wonderful people out there, no need to stick around the not so wonderful ones.

Tell them "if by 'monophysite' you mean someone who confesses that Christ's divinity and humanity were inseparably united without mingling, altering or confusion in a single nature, then yes, I am. If by 'monophysite' you mean someone who confesses that Christ was only divine, only human, that His humanity and divinity were mixed or confused, or that His humanity was somehow absorbed and overwhelmed by His divinity, then no, I am not."
