Interesting lectures about icons in iTunes University
« on: May 18, 2013, 07:07:11 PM »
I ran across an interesting series of lectures on iTunes that I thought others might like as well.  It's called "Art and Spirituality of the Russian Orthodox Tradition."

In 2011 there was an exhibition in Amsterdam of art of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Amsterdam Centre for Eastern Orthodox Theology put on a lecture series to go with it.  The lectures are given mainly by Priests and also an icon painter.  They cover icon art, the history of the Church, an overview of the Orthodox liturgy, monasticism and music.  Each lecture is about an hour.  I've watched a few so far and have found them very interesting.

Thanks for posting. I will look for that. :)
My only weakness is, well, never mind

He said he had a horrible house
I looked in it and learnt to shut my mouth

Come back my dream into my arms, into my arms

London is drowning, and I live by the river
