Just came across this article that belongs to Father Calciu, may his memory be eternal!

For those of you who don't know him, he was a Romanian Orthodox priest who spent a lot of years in prison during communism because of his faith and beliefs.

I found his words to be brutally honest, but true.

Christ is Risen!

Dpaula,

Thank you so very much for sharing this. I first came across this remarkable priest through his edifying seven talks to young people, which were also very instructive and bravely spoken in the dreadful climate of those times. This pastoral address goes directly to heart of things some would prefer that left unsaid. Fr George clearly remains a remarkable pastor.

For those who aren't aware of it, a book has been compiled of his homilies, talks, etc.

I'll never forget the story of the young man slowly dying in his cell from tuberculosis.

Not always light happy reading, but inspirational nonetheless.
