Christ is Risen!

I just wanted to share the news with all of you.
Our priest gave us the plan for the following months.
He will make my soon-to-be husband a catechumen this very Sunday!
He will be baptized in July. Can I be overly excited that soon we will be able to commune together?
And, God willing, we will get married in September! ! !

WE are so happy and excited and nervous and so thankful !
I waited for this day to come for so long, hoping and praying, and it's finally happening!

Glory to God for all things! !

Hey, congratulations!

It warms my heart when being received into the OC is really taken seriously and with joy!

Were you raised OC?  I converted 7 years ago, and tried to get my then fiancee to do the same.  It looked like it was about to happen, but then one day she just said she would never come to another Liturgy again.  A couple of years later I met and married my wife who was born to convert parents.

I was born and raised Orthodox. My family members, as many as I have and know, are all Orthodox.

I wanted my future husband to be Orthodox, so we can live by the Orthodox beliefs. But I wanted him to know what that means and to understand and believe all of it.

We've been together for 4 years, but we only recently found the OCA parish in our area and Father John, the parish priest, who took us under his wing and agreed to guide us on this path.
And since then things just happened....fast...
We are completely hooked and there are no words to describe our feelings.

many years!
have a beautiful wedding.
top tip - don't worry too much about the details and try to spend less than 2 hours on hair and make up  Wink
spend plenty of time praying (maybe fasting a bit too) before the event as marriage is an important part of your spiritual life (as much as monasticism for monks), and victory is defined by showing love in all circumstances. for this you need plenty of prayer and Bible study.

Many years.   About the pic. given some of the tech issues we've been having, it may be temporary. Try it again some time.

Thank you all so much!! We are very happy! Glory to God!!!

I've tried to post some pictures every day, several times a day and I get the same error. Not sure what's causing it. The pictures are 80KB, so very small. Oh well... If somebody fixes the issue, I'll make sure I'll post them.

Again, thank you so much for all the kind wishes!
