I love Coke, it is a poison, but is so good, specially in the glass bottle, with a lot of ice.

There really is no substitute for a good coke is there?  And you're right coke from the glass bottle is much better.  Are you from  South America?  Here in Chicago if we buy Coke in a glass bottle it's called "Mexican Coke", which means the coke is sweetened with sugar cane instead of corn syrup, so it's much better.   Plus I think the glass makes it taste better. Coke, or any pop, in plastic is pretty much undrinkable to me.

Another things some of my South American  friends turned me onto was Fernet and Coke.  Very refreshing.

Here they have just released Coke sweetened with stevia, it comes in a green bottle and although still poison it's much tastier than regular Coke. But I'll probably stop drinking it now that I'll stop getting them for free. The only sodas I'll actually buy in normal conditions are those made from guaraná, or more seldom lemon sodas too.

Now I just had a huge cup of coffee, with some soy milk and sugar to hide the bitterness of old coffee without breaking the fast again.

Me and Kierkegaard and Colt 45. Catching up on some good reading while catching Zika virus and a buzz on the back porch here in Mississippi. Peasant life. It's how I roll.  ;)

For myself, Yuengling Brewery's Original Black & Tan. And probably enough that I ought to call it a night. Please pray for me, a sinner. I always forget to drink water, too, which is also quite exquisite.

Did you ever try it with Sprite? Usually I would recommend Ginger Ale, however I've found that Colt 45 mixes especially well with Sprite.

When I learned that just a little bit of Ginger Ale makes very cheap beer and most IPA's palatable, well I still have my favorite Porter, but I no longer wince when someone mentions Budweiser, for example. Actually, I'm a huge fan of their Chelada's, as in I fell like perhaps they ought to be criminalized because they are just too delicious. Not their lager, though.

The straight Colt 45, on the other hand, it's not that it's not palatable, only it isn't as easy to drink. Don't you agree?

Stella Artois pear cider. Their apple is unbeatable, but the pear is also a very strong contender in a pretty niche market.

I've had some good ciders and many terrible ones.  I've only had three perries (not too many producers) and they have all been far superior to any apple cider I've ever tasted, even the best ones.

Babycham is a British institution. Not a complete lightweight in the alcohol department, either (started at 12%, currently at 6%).

I am not "sipping" grain alcohol, however I did mix it with a little bit of Hersheys chocolate and some milk.

I ... I wanted to tell somebody, in case nobody ever hears from me again.

It's unlikely, however. Any luck, I'll report tomorrow how the hangover is. It's for science, btw.

Huh? Our ciders are usually disgusting* but perry cider is readily available everywhere.

*made of essence instead of actual fruit. Also, beverages higher than 4,7% are sold only in a state monopoly stores so market ciders and beers are mostlty watered down versions of actual drinks. I love my country.

Very refreshing, but if I'm gonna drink liquor I much prefer whiskey or rum.

Do you drink fermented fish regularly?
what if I do? I spent a good part of today thinking about this.

Did you know that Worcheister contains fermented fish? It got me thinking, shouldn't I be pickling vegetables?

About 1,5 litres of beer. American wheat, blonde ale, sour ale and barley wine.
But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

Start with a shot of canned tuna fish juice and work your way up.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.
