I don't know about the "summit", but I've been missing having a bottle or two GI every now and then in the years since I've moved away from Chicago.

Dude, you must stop or you might be forced to endure daily injections of insulin.

This is what I did:
(1) drink green tea for the caffeine fix. Since green tea has less caffeine, you might get withdrawal headaches.
(2) use stevia or xylitol for a sweetener and go off all processed foods that have hidden sugar. Avoid agave as that can lead to diabetes. Avoid all artificial sweeteners.

I buy the pure organic stevia from Trader Joes. I think the FDA lifted its embargo on stevia several years ago. Anyway, if you do try stevia, try to get the one from Trader Joes and only use a tiny bit (about 1/16 of a teaspoon gives a big punch).

It is approved for use in processed form. Whole leaf and raw stevia are not approved (as is the case in most of the world).

I fancy me a cup of this several times a day. It's probably the most affordable, relatively good quality Colombian coffee you could find. I purchase it at World Market for $7.99 a bag, however, they have a rewards system where there are always coupons or free bags available to you after so long if you sign up online.

Something about coffee has really got me. Ever since I was 11 years old I started drinking it, and as I've grown, I love it even more. Everyone says it's the caffeine, but I am highly skeptical of that. I've tried de-caf coffee before and I still enjoyed it. I like the taste of coffee more than the caffeine.
