I explained one like that to the Godkids, yesterday.

The hardest thing for them to understand was Hades.

It is a "location" and yet referred to as an "entity".

I always explain it as the Greeks did --- Hades is Death and death was a prison no one could escape from until our Lord broke down the gates and Death could no longer imprison us for ever.
